What is Waterskiing?
Waterskiing is a surface water sport during which
an invidual is pulled behind a boat wearing one or two skis
attached to their feet.
Is Waterskiing an Olympic Sport?
No, waterskiing is not an officially contested medal sport
in the Olympic Games but it was a demonstration sport at the
1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany. It is unlikely to
become an Olympic sport unless the IOC's policy against
including motorized sports changes.
Waterskiing requires the mechanical propulsion of a
motorized tow boat.
