SPORT NAME: Games of Jacks
HISTORICALLY KNOWN AS: Knucklebones
What is the Game of Jacks?
Jacks is a game during which five or more "counters" (small objects)
are thrown in the air with one hand with the object of trying
to catch them in either the palm of your hand or on the
back of your hand. The game was originally known as Knucklebones
because the small objects thrown in the air were
sheep toe knuckle bones in ancient times.
